GUARDIAN

Support

In an emergency, call 911. Guardian support is not an emergency service and can't send help.

Contact us

Email support@guardianwalk.com. We usually answer within two business days. Please don't include passwords. If you're reporting something someone posted, the fastest way is the Report button next to it in the app: it goes straight to a person.

Common questions

My circle didn't get my walk link

Each person has to reply YES to Guardian's first text before they get walk links. In the app, open Settings › Your circle to see who's confirmed, and tap a name to send the text again. Emergency alerts (a missed check-in or SOS) still go to people who haven't replied yet.

I have no signal

Guardian keeps trying and tells you on screen when it can't reach its server. Your circle may not see updates until you're back online. SOS opens a ready-to-send text to your circle when the server can't be reached. Calling 911 doesn't depend on Guardian (it uses your phone's own calling).

How do I stop a check-in from alerting people?

Tap I'm OK when Guardian asks, or end the walk when you get home (tap "I'm home · end walk" twice). If you set a PIN, you'll be asked for it.

Report or block someone in a bunk

Long-press a message, or tap a person's name or a marker tag, then choose Report, Block or Hide. Blocked people can't see that you blocked them. You can unblock people from Bunks › Blocked people.

Download or delete my data

In the app: Settings › Your data. Deleting your account removes your circle, walks, SOS history and settings right away.

Someone added my phone number to their circle

Reply STOP to any Guardian text and you won't get any more. To have your number removed entirely, email support@guardianwalk.com.

Accessibility

Guardian works with VoiceOver and larger text sizes. With VoiceOver, SOS asks you to confirm before it sends. If something is hard to use, please tell us.
